Gregg Garn, Ph.D.

Dr. Gregg Garn serves as Deputy Athletic Director for Performance Excellence at the University of Oklahoma, overseeing academics, sports medicine and performance, and strategic initiatives. Prior to this role, he served for seven years as the faculty athletics representative (FAR). He also held numerous leadership positions at OU, including Vice President of Online Learning, Dean of the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education, Interim Dean of the College of Professional and Continuing Studies, and Executive Director of the K20 Center, where he secured nearly $200 million in external funding for Oklahoma K-12 students. He holds the Humphreys Chair in Education and is a past recipient of the Linda Clarke Anderson Presidential Professorship. A former president of CADREI, Dr. Garn also received the McVittie Emerging Leader Award from the American Association of University Administrators in 2017. He and his wife Jennifer, a pharmacist, have three children.
